March 23rd 2026

We had a short, four-day week but it was still a busy and rewarding one.
Our 2nd–7th graders attended an assembly sponsored by California Central Coast Caps 'N Kids. Retro Bill shared an inspirational message and encouraged students to be the best version of themselves. Our youngest Tigers visited the Atascadero Zoo and had a great time seeing the animals.
We look forward to another fun week. This week’s Awards Assemblies will celebrate student accomplishments — academic growth, 2025 CAASPP growth, attendance, and demonstrating school expectations. It’s always a joy to recognize our students. Also, our 7th graders will begin the California English Language Arts portion of the state test this week.

CYBHI Information

Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is committed to ensuring that every student has access to the resources they need to stay healthy and succeed in school. A new California program – The Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) – reinforces this commitment by unlocking additional funding for schools, making it easier for students to get behavioral and mental health support at no out-of-pocket cost to families. Paso Schools will be implementing this program next Fall, 2026.
What does this mean for you?
  • No out-of-pocket cost: A new state law requires health insurers to cover the cost of behavioral and mental health services. Schools will ask for your student’s health insurance information, but rest assured: families won’t be charged – no co-pays, no billing, and no impact to your insurance premiums.
  • No effect on outside care: Getting services at school won’t limit your student’s ability to receive care outside of school
  • Consent: Your consent may be required for the school to share certain health details. You will receive a form with further details. Your Information is Safe. Your child’s privacy matters. All data is protected under federal laws that safeguard health and education records.
